MEETING KENSHIN

I have to admit-- this is one of the more amusing scenes in RK. When she meets Kenshin, he's on his merry way (okay, maybe not merry) to Kyoto to stop the evil Shishio. He thinks he hears a mugging going on in the woods, and after a search, he finds a woman selling her body for money to some
thugs. She had a hood covering her face, preventing you from seeing her face. The ugly thugs hand her the money with that
"glint" in their eyes. Instead of that, the woman throws the hood away from her face and viola! It's Misao.
In a scene that reminds of me one from "The Slayers", the men walk away, muttering things like, "She's just a little kid, not some sexy women."
The poor men didn't know what hit them, but Misao upon hearing their comments, smashing them into smitherines. And this, my fine feline friends,
is when Kenshin steps into the altercation. After beating the living you-know-what out of the the thugs, she takes their money. Kenshin wants her to return it. Misao, instead tries to get
even more money, specifically out of Kenshin's pockets. Of course Misao can't even touch Kenshin, which angers her beyond words. Misao does
return the money to its owners, which is when she tells him about her journ to find Aoshi and the other missing Oniwabanshu. Kenshin, having run into them,
knows that they are dead (remember, Kenshin is like 28... so... yeah. ^^;), but doesn't say anything because he doesn't want to upset her. It actually wasn't
Kenshin's fault, yet he still doesn't say anything.
So Mr. Nice guy continues his journey to Kyoto with Misao tagging along.
