Okay! Okina being the old guy (*gets whacked*) that is constantly chasing after the young girls. He is considered very loyal, and runs a restaurant with Ayoiya. He practically
raised Misao, and loves to call her "Angel Misao", even though she hates it. He thinks it will remain the Oni.'s job to protect both Tokyo and Kyoto. (which he did when Shishio sent the Jupon Gatana to destroy the Aoiya). He acts as a grandfather to her, dispensing advice, and a means of support. 
Shikijou was an excellent fighter who was personally trained by Aoshi, explaining his sharp fighting
and strategy skills. The scars on his face were his fault, because they were gained in a fight with Aoshi. His character design is based off the incredible Hulk. (X_x) Misao was especially close
to him, because he was one of the key figures that raised her, and educated her in the art of a Ninja.
Hanya wears a devil mask and has horizontal stripes running around his arms.
The stripe pattern makes things appear shorter and fatter than they are so one can misjudge the distance.
When he was still in the womb of his mother, she was trampled by a wild animal, causing him to be born disfigured. He could not go out into the
public without being called a demon, so he went to the mountains, and hid there until Aoshi found him.
Beneath the mask. his lips are burned, the ears and nose are cut, and his cheekbones are smashed.
His parents wanted to kill him because they didn't have enough money to feed him. He's quite lonely, but proud to be a member of the Oni. bunch.
A.K.A. the short guy with the poison darts. He wasn't too grand with the martial arts aspects, but was an excellent spy because of his height and overall size.
He was also another person who helped to raise Misao, and died for Aoshi during the fight. Beshimi was a pretty quiet guy, outside of the battle scene... outside of that, he's really not mentioned much.
Considered the "fat and ugly" one of the Oni bunch, he used the fire breathing technique as a weapon. Somewhere along the way in his life, he had swallowed
a bag of oil (O_o). All Sano had to do was to pull the bag out to defeat him. He was the first one to die protecting Aoshi.
Okon, Kuro, Omasu, and Shiro: The "Kyoto" Oniwabanshu group all consider Misao their leader, but still see her as something special... something to protect. Most of them have a hard time adjusting to calling her "Okashira," but, gradually, I do believe they come to see her as a really firm assest. Not to mention that Misao loves them all dearly.
