RK LINGO :
- Aku-Soku-Zan: Translates basically into "Kill Evil Instantly." It's basically the motto for Saitou and the Shinsengumi, and you can see that Saitou takes this very seriously.

- Battousai: Kenshin's old nickname; the kanji for "sai" was generally used for a nickname during that period, but could also be translated as "Master." "Battou" is basically to draw out one's sword. So you could say that the nickname came from his ability to use and draw out his sword like lightning.

- dono: A typical suffix that Kenshin adds on to most of the female character's names (IE Misao-dono), translating loosely as "Miss."

- Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu: "Heaven Flight Holy Sword Style" aka Kenshin's sword technique.

- kempo: A style of fighting involving mainly one's fists. However, sometimes smaller weapons are used. Misao's style of fighting is kempo.

- Oniwaban(shu): "The Garden Guard" If I remember correctly, it's a job title given to them, as It was their job to guard the inner garden of the Shogun's castle in Edo.

- oro?: A form of "Ara?" which is basically "Huh?"

- rurouni: - A wanderer or vagabond.

- sakabatou: The reversed-blade katana belonging to Kenshin.

- Tobi-kunai: The throwing form of the kunai (dagger). Misao laces them through her fingers and throws them.
